Moscow Metro Launches Exhibition Celebrating Alexander Kuprin’s 155th Birthday

Moscow – A new exhibition has opened in the Moscow Metro to commemorate the 155th anniversary of Alexander Kuprin.

During this exhibition, commuters can explore curated lists of Kuprin’s works, featuring over 30 suggested books for their reading enjoyment.

The exhibition will remain on display until September 16 in the transfer passage connecting Savëlovskaya stations on Line 9 and the Big Circle Line.

Initially, this exhibition debuted on June 4 at the 11th Red Square Book Festival.

In September, it will also be showcased in Balaklava during the Kuprin Readings.

Afterward, the exhibition will travel to Paris for the “Russian Literature” book fair.

“Since the beginning of the year, 39 themed exhibitions have already been conducted in the metro system and on the Moscow Central Circle (MCC),” remarked Maksim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, who oversees the city’s transport and infrastructure.

“Travelers can discover these exhibitions while gaining new knowledge without leaving the metro.”

“In accordance with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin’s initiative, we strive to make public transport not only comfortable and safe but also stimulating.”
