Ryk is a seasoned financial journalist with more than 25 years of experience. He serves as the editor of Moneyweb and hosts RSG Geldsake, the leading business radio show in South Africa.
Before joining Moneyweb in 2011, he was the national editor for Media24’s daily business publications.
As a highly respected public speaker and facilitator, Ryk often shares his perspectives on political and economic matters across various local and international media platforms. He is an expert in financial investigative journalism and has garnered multiple awards throughout his career.
Ryk earned an MBL from Unisa and an M.Phil in Journalism from Stellenbosch University, both achieved cum laude.
