Social media users reported that a bolt struck a female supporter.

Speculations suggested it fell from the speaker situated in the South Bank ceiling.

The supporters were relocated during the 1-1 match between Wolves and Sunderland.

One fan tweeted an image showing the vacant seats, stating: “Safety concern due to falling debris from the roof in the South Bank.”

After the match, a Wolves representative informed SunSport: “A fitting fell from one of the speakers, leading to the evacuation of this area for safety.”

As Wolves languish at the bottom of the Premier League table and face relegation to the Championship, fans expressed their disappointment.
