In a joint statement from the FIA, Formula 1, and the Miami Grand Prix, it was noted, “Following discussions between FIA, F1, and the Miami promoter, the start time of today’s Miami Grand Prix has been moved to 13:00 local time in Miami due to weather predictions of heavier rain later in the afternoon, which coincides with the original race start time.
“This decision is intended to minimize disruptions to the race and enhance the likelihood of completing the Grand Prix under favorable conditions while prioritizing the safety of drivers, fans, teams, and staff.”
What is the new start time for the F1 Miami Grand Prix?
The F1 Miami Grand Prix will commence THREE hours earlier than previously scheduled.
Originally slated to start at 4 PM local time, it is now set to begin at 1 PM local time.
For viewers in the UK, it will start at 6 PM BST instead of 9 PM BST.
