MANCHESTER CITY has claimed the Women’s Super League title for the first time in ten years.
Their championship was clinched when Arsenal managed only a draw against Brighton, finishing 1-1 at Broadfield Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Gunners, who approached the match with three games in hand, needed to win them all to extend the title race to the final day.
However, they failed to score again after Frida Maanum equalized, nullifying Fuka Tsunoda’s opener with 30 minutes left in the match.
