Ryk is an accomplished financial journalist with more than 25 years of experience. He currently serves as the editor of Moneyweb and hosts RSG Geldsake, South Africa’s leading business radio program.
Before joining Moneyweb in 2011, he was the national editor for Media24’s daily business publications.
Ryk is a respected public speaker and facilitator, often sharing his insights on political and economic matters in various local and international media outlets. His expertise lies in financial investigative journalism, and he has garnered numerous awards for his contributions to the field throughout his career.
He holds an MBL from Unisa and an M.Phil in Journalism from Stellenbosch University, both of which were awarded cum laude.
