FNB Offers Financial Backing for R1 Billion Luxury Property Project in Cape Town
This week, FNB revealed that the creators of The Paradigm, an upscale residential venture located in Cape Town’s city center, have secured a substantial funding deal amounting to R1 billion.
Positioned at 100 Buitengracht Street, this project will introduce 240 opulent residences to one of the most distinguished urban regions in the Mother City.

The scale of the financing illustrates robust institutional trust in the durability of the Western Cape property sector.
Preggie Pillay, CEO of FNB Commercial Property Finance, noted that the city consistently shines because of ongoing demand and its attractiveness for investment.
“The Paradigm exemplifies a development that directly addresses this market—strategically located, thoughtfully crafted, and aligned with the expectations of today’s buyers,” he stated.
Pillay emphasized that FNB’s involvement signifies “confidence not only in the development itself but also in the lasting strength and long-term allure of the Cape Town market.”

Construction originally started in November 2024, with completion now expected in the third quarter of 2027.
José Rodrigues, director of Vantage Property, described the project as a “bold declaration of confidence” in the future of the city center.
