Cardano Lace Wallet Update Released in Anticipation of Van Rossem Fork

Cardano’s Web3 wallet, Lace, has received recent updates in preparation for the upcoming Van Rossem hard fork.

The latest 2.0 updates for Lace highlight improved migration processes, enhanced access to DApps, and an overall better user experience.

Users can manage Cardano, Midnight, and Bitcoin all from a single wallet interface with Lace 2.0, reducing the need to switch between multiple wallets for managing different assets across ecosystems.

Improvements in Lace 2.0.3 and 2.0.4 for user accessibility

Lace 2.0.3 addressed a white screen issue that hindered some users from successfully completing migrations or connecting to DApps. It also resolved issues with older wallets that were imported from Nami.

Lace 2.0.4 introduced a default view mode allowing users to switch between Side Panel and Tab views. Additionally, it included an auto-lock timer and corrected missing Spanish and Japanese translations.

Moreover, Cardano is preparing for the Van Rossem hard fork, an upgrade to Protocol Version 11 aimed at enhancing Plutus performance, increasing ledger consistency, and strengthening node-level security.

A pre-release of Cardano Node 11.0.1 is essential for a seamless transition during the hard fork. Stake pool operators and developers using the preview are encouraged to upgrade prior to the mainnet launch.
