“In the weeks that followed, every exhibition we attended was crowded with questions like: ‘How did you lose? How did you lose?’
“It became exhausting to hear. I think people came to realize last year that we were not invincible, which lowered expectations for this year.
“Nevertheless, we are confident that if we play well together, it will result in a fantastic performance from both of us.”
Humphries also dismissed claims that the pair struggles to collaborate effectively due to their differing arrival times at venues.

The former world champion revealed that he spoke with The Nuke after their defeat to analyze their mistakes and to devise a plan moving forward.
He explained: “We’ll approach it in the same way this time. There’s no strict guideline; Luke prefers to do what feels right for him.”
