Sky Sports and TNT Sports Secure Exclusive Rights to Showcase Key Elements in Major Premier League Broadcasting Revamp

Sky Sports and TNT Sports, the official broadcasters of the Premier League in the UK, are set to air this footage during their programming.
Previously, RefCam footage could only be shown days after the matches concluded.
Changes to these broadcasting restrictions will take effect in the 2026-27 season.
Previously, regulations from the International Football Association Board (IFAB) stopped any live audio related to Video Assistant Referee reviews.
Now, Sky Sports and TNT Sports have gained the ability to show one or two incidents per match round during the actual game.
Even though live audio is still prohibited, this allows Sky and TNT to present footage from real-time events instead of waiting several days post-match.

The number of games featuring RefCam will increase from 20 to approximately 45.
Pro Ref is reportedly lobbying IFAB to further relax the restrictions on live audio broadcasting.
