Fuel Prices To Increase, Announced by Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources

Johannesburg – The cost of petrol, diesel, paraffin, and LP Gas will increase starting Wednesday, 2 September 2026.

On Monday, 31 August 2026, the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources disclosed the upcoming fuel price hikes.

According to the department, both grades of petrol will see a rise of R1.34 per litre, while diesel will go up by between R2.93 and R3.14 per litre.
